The new television channel for kids is launched on Stream Labs’ equipment

The new television channel for kids “Solnyshko” was launched in a test mode in Minsk (Republic of Belarus). The installation of equipment was carried out by Stream Labs’ specialists and has been completed on 4th December 2009.

The broadcasting complex is based on TELE IP software for IP broadcasting, production process automation system OPLAN and multi-channel recording system Stream DutyScreen.

Operational approach of the TV-channel is the following:

The content is being prepared in the editing room. After that the broadcasting editor adds the files in OPLAN-client schedule, which is installed on the same PC. When the schedule is ready and the permit for broadcasting is signed, the schedule is exported to the server where TELE IP is running. During this process all the files used in the schedule are automatically copied from the editing station to the storage facility.

Tele IP automatically imports the schedule and takes from the storage the files that are going to be broadcasted shortly. The files that won’t be used again after the playback will be deleted from the server automatically.

By the receiver DSR-4000 the signal is converted from IP into analogue format and sent to the input of the multi-channel recording system Stream DutyScreen that runs the log-file. The disc space capacity of DutyScreen allows storing the broadcast data during 3 months.

The entire complex has the power supply redundancy in case of short-time power cut-off. The redundancy is based on the uninterruptible power supply with two additional batteries.
