TELE Info integrated broadcast automation

Testimonials

From myself and the Kodal Bosilegrad Television company, Serbia, I would like to thank Stream Labs for their Stream Alpha series playout automation cards. We have been using these cards for several years now with TELE Info software (especially the SMS Terminal module) and we are extremely happy with this set-up. I warmly advise everyone to try this solution. You will have automated broadcasting without any problems!

There are plenty of sound cards out there; you do not have to use the very latest and advanced model. You can also use the on-board sound card. Creative sound blasters and the like will work fine. Most importantly, check that the sound card does not have several Line In inputs, i.e. it has only ONE Line IN input, which is labeled so in Sound and Volume properties. Such (one) Line In input may not be available in more sophisticated sound cards, like Realtek High Definition Audio, which usually comes embedded on motherboard. In such case, this sound card has to be disabled in BIOS and a new, separate sound card must be installed. Sound cards with ADI High Definition Audio chip usually have one Line IN input.

If you’re going to use an external digital video signal source in TELE Info (except DV 1394), make sure that your sound card does not have shared Line In and Mic inputs. This often happens in the latest models of Creative sound blasters.

It is important to note that TELE 2.2 cannot work with a standard sound card under MS Windows Vista Operating System. In this case, an extra sound module Stream Audio card must be purchased in addition to Stream ALPHA Plus PCI-E card.

Our software does not pose any specific requirements for computer video adapter. You can use any up-to-date adapter on PCI-Express bus. Either on-board VGA-adapter or a separate video card can be used. Please refrain from using the latest and greatest high-end VGA-adapters. For example, we were not able use Stream Alpha Plus PCI-E and ASUS EAX-7300 VGA-adapter in one computer. Perhaps, this happened due to the VGA-adapter drivers.
