What should be changed in motherboard BIOS settings?

We recommend using the default BIOS settings.

You should disable all devices, which are not needed for operation. This assures the maximum freedom for system interrupts and lessens the possibility of their shared use by video card and USB-controller, which is used by the electronic security key and other system devices.

It is not necessary to disable the devices in BIOS; you can do it in Windows Device Manager.

When using a separate sound card for TELE instead of an on-board one, the on-board card must be disabled.

Also, disable “Power Management/APM” in BIOS, so that hard disks and monitor will not be shut down and always be ready to broadcast information instantly. Similar changes should be made in Windows settings.
