How to locate a correct setup file for the USB-key on the installation CD-ROM and how to verify that it is definitely the required setup file? When the installation CD-ROM is inserted the menu with all the setup files for relevant USB-keys and video cards appears. It also indicates which application will be installed – Alpha Pro, Alpha Pro (Extended), TELE or TELE Info. You must choose one of the menu options (even if it is the only one) and press OK. After that the program installation will start. If for some reason the autostart did not work, open Setup folder on the installation CD-ROM, locate the folder with the same number as indicated on your USB-key and launch “setup.exe” file. When the installation starts a window with information about your software will appear (application version for relevant video card), please verify carefully that this information matches the product you requested. It is also possible to verify the application contents without installing the program. This can be viewed in the [option] section of “_instpgm.ini” file: [option] option=stream4 - stream2 – Stream Alpha Plus and Component (PCI bus) - stream3 – Stream Alpha SDI (PCI bus) - stream4 – Stream Alpha Plus PCI-E (PCI Express bus) - stream5 – Wind SDI (PCI bus) component=1 ext_version=1 - Alpha Pro extended version tele=1 tele2=1 - TELE tele2ex=1 - TELE Info ntsc=1 - NTSC-version key=G181 - USB-key number Sometimes it is necessary to verify the date of the setup file creation when the version number information is insufficient. This date can be viewed in Properties > Modified date of “_instpgm.ini” or “main.mva”. |
