What are the key issues of program first installation process?

At program first installation the card must be inserted in the computer and the USB security key should NOT be inserted yet.

When the system offers to look for relative drivers – decline, the driver will be installed automatically during software installation (the USB-key driver will have to be installed separately after software installation).

If you are going to use Network Controller on your computer it must be activated. It is convenient to have Internet access on your computer or close by to complete the Activation process.

When installation starts a window, which lists the software contents information and options (program name, modules, video card and video signal standard), will appear. This information should be reviewed carefully in order to verify that you’re installing the right kind of software.



During installation you will be requested to confirm the video card driver installation. Although this driver is not Microsoft certified, press Continue Anyway. If you STOP Installation or if this window does not appear during the installation, this would mean the installation did not complete successfully.



After you press “Finish” in order to verify that the driver has been installed correctly, please check that in Device Manager, under Sound, video and game controllers there is an “Alpha Pro Driver…” device. This device must be enabled and working properly (no exclamation mark or “x” sign). Also, verify in Device Manager how well are the interrupts shared between the video card and other devices (see above).

During installation you may be requested to activate the program. If your computer is connected to the Internet you can simply enter your serial number and the program will be activated automatically.

You can also activate the program later, at its first launch. For more detailed information about Activation please refer to our Activation manual (Activation.pdf).

Next, you need to install the electronic security key driver, which is located on the installation CD-ROM in \TolkenPro folder and on our website:  http://stream-labs.com/dsb/RTE_3.65.msi. Double-click the msi file to start the installation; the USB-key does NOT need to be inserted at this stage. After the installation is complete, two Aladdin IFD Handler devices will appear in Device Manager under Smart card readers.

After this installation you can insert the electronic security key into USB-port, then wait till all the relevant drivers are found and the red LED lights up on the USB-key.



Now you can run Alpha Pro application.
