1.1 Purpose and Objectives

MultiProbe is a flexible monitoring automation platform for digital television systems and technical complexes. It supports the monitoring of signals used in the production and distribution of television content.

Purpose

To maintain service quality across the production and distribution of television programs.

Objective

To continuously analyze equipment metrics and signal parameters, detecting deviations from required values in a timely manner.

Key Functions

  • Signal analysis — receive and analyze signal and equipment parameters using flexible, user-configurable templates
  • Alarm management — detect parameter deviations and generate prioritized alerts based on alarm state rules
  • Visualization — display parameters, alarm events, and status changes through user-constructed graphical interfaces built on web technologies (workspaces, layouts, mosaics)
  • Status monitoring — use status panels, rotators, penalty screens, and tally systems to optimize the display of signal and equipment statuses
  • Video decoding — decode and visualize video streams, including mosaic screens with metadata
  • Streaming — encode video and audio signals for streaming, including mosaic screen output
  • Recording — record video and audio with synchronized alarm state logging and playback
  • Virtual services — create virtual services to implement combined metrics
  • Equipment schemes — build technical diagrams to visualize the status of signal and equipment complexes
  • Location hierarchy — configure a hierarchical structure of technical complexes to organize monitored data by location
  • User management — support a flexible permission system with user groups and location-based access control
