1.6 Visualization

Overview

MultiProbe provides a comprehensive set of tools for visualizing monitoring results, including diagrams, graphs, mosaic screens, status panels, and more. A full overview of available visualization tools is provided in Section 6.1.

Output Methods

Monitoring results can be visualized in two ways:

Video walls — physical display screens connected directly to a server. Video walls are managed through video wall controllers, allowing operators to create large-format monitoring displays in a control room environment.

Web interface — browser-based access to the MultiProbe web server (MultiScreen) hosted on the Central Server. This method provides remote access to all visualization features from any workstation on the network.

Workspaces and Layouts

The web interface can be fully customized by each user through two complementary tools:

  • Workspaces — personal web pages where users arrange any number of widgets from different monitoring objects. Each user configures their own workspace to match their specific operational needs.

  • Layouts — shared view templates available to all users. Layouts display information about a specific type of monitoring object and can serve as standardized views for different roles or workflows. Multiple layout templates can be created for each monitoring object type.

Both workspaces and layouts are populated with widgets — configurable UI components that display specific metrics, alarms, video streams, and other monitoring data.

Tip

A complete widget reference — including all available widget types and their configuration options — is provided in Appendix C.
