2.3 Licensing Server

Overview

Stream Labs License Server must be installed on all servers — both the Central Server and all Monitoring Nodes — before any other MultiProbe components are installed.

To install Stream Labs License Server, follow the procedures in the operator's manual for this software.

License Distribution

Install all purchased licenses on the Central Server. Then configure the License Server instances on each Node to obtain licenses from the Central Server. This creates the following license distribution topology:

Node License Servers automatically request and apply license information from the Central Server. This provides flexibility — licenses can be redistributed among nodes at any time based on operational needs, without reinstalling anything.
