6.7 Audio Players
Audio players output decoded audio to audio devices (speakers or monitors) connected to node servers. Playback begins immediately after an audio player is created.
Note
The Stream Labs MP Audio Player software service must be installed on the node for audio player functionality to work.
Two audio player types are available:
- Alarm player — outputs audio alerts when alarm events are received.
- Track player — decodes and plays audio from monitoring objects.

To access audio players, select Audio players in the Visualization section of the Configuration screen.

The audio player management screen displays a list of configured audio players with the following columns:
- Name — the user-defined name of the audio player.
- Type — Alarm or Track.
- Node — the node to which the audio device is connected.
- Audio device — the name of the audio output device, selected from devices available on the chosen node.
