7.1 General Information
MultiProbe supports creating outbound streams for delivery over data transmission networks. Stream sources include input streams, monitoring objects, mosaics, and audio players. Redundant streams compliant with the SMPTE ST 2110 standard can be created, and the built-in multiplexer enables formation of multi-program transport streams (MPTS).
The following stream types are supported:
- MPEG-TS — multicast stream over UDP (Section 7.2).
- HTTP Live Streaming (HLS) — streaming via a built-in or external HTTP server (Section 7.3).
- SMPTE ST 2110 — with redundancy support (Section 7.4).
Stream Management Screen
To start working with streams, select Streams in the Restreaming & Recording section of the Configuration screen (Figure 218).

The stream management screen will open (Figure 219), showing a list of configured streams with the following columns:
- Name — the user-defined name of the stream.
- Description — a free-form description.
- Node — the node where the stream will be generated.
- Type — the stream type (one of the types listed above).

To edit an existing stream, select it from the list. To create a new stream, click the New stream button. In the creation window (Figure 220), select the stream type and node, and enter a name and description. After creating the stream, open it for configuration.
Stream settings depend on the stream type and are described in Sections 7.2–7.4.
