9.2 Reports

Reports in MultiProbe generate and export lists of alarm events. Preconfigured templates are available out-of-the-box and cover most common reporting needs. Each template determines which alarm events to filter. Users can adjust template parameters for specific tasks, and a built-in scheduler automates report generation and delivery to recipients defined per report.

Available report templates:

  • SCTE 35 tag report
  • SCTE 104 tag report
  • Alarm event history report
  • Monitoring object parameter measurement history report
  • Combined SCTE 35/104 report
  • Report on EWS/EEWS protocol parameters

The Reports section of the Retrospectives screen contains two menus:

  • Report list — one-time report generation on demand.
  • Scheduler — automated report generation and delivery on a defined schedule.

Generating Reports on Demand

To generate a report, select Report list in the Reports section. The Reports screen (Figure 239) contains three panels:

  • Reports — list of available reports, with Name and Description columns.
  • Preview — visual preview of the report layout.
  • Additional info — textual description of the report layout.

Select a report from the list to open the report generation window (Figure 240). The Filters panel on the left contains the parameters defined in the template. Set the required values and click generate button to generate the report.

To save the entered parameter values for future use, check Save parameter values before generating.

The generated report opens in the viewing window (Figure 241). Use the button highlighted with a red arrow to export the report to the workstation — supported formats are shown in the figure. Click export settings button to configure export options such as presentation mode, image quality, and document author details. The toolbar also provides zoom, print, and page navigation controls.

Scheduled Reports

To configure automated report delivery, select Scheduler in the Reports section. The scheduler window (Figure 242) lists all scheduled reports with the following columns: Name, Description, Report type, Occurrence, and Groups.

To edit an existing report, select it from the list. To create a new one, click New report. The report editor (Figure 243) opens.

The editor has two tabs: Main and Filters.

Main tab fields:

  • Name — report name.
  • Description — free-form description.
  • Report type — select from available templates (alarm history, SCTE markers, etc.).
  • Groups — user groups to receive the report.
  • Users — specific users to receive the report.
  • Start date — date from which the schedule begins.
  • Repeats at:
    • Time — time of day for sending.
    • Timezone — timezone for the scheduled time.
    • Repetition interval — integer defining the repeat interval, used together with Repetition type.
    • Repetition type — unit of the interval: day, week, month, or year.

Additional fields appear depending on the selected Repetition type:

  • Week — specify the day of the week.
  • Month — choose either On day (day of the month) or On a specific day of a specific week (week number and day of week).

The Filters tab contains additional report parameters as described in Table 36.

After filling in all required fields, save the report — it will appear in the scheduler list and the schedule will begin executing.
