Channel Configuration
Each receiver slot must be assigned to an FM frequency before it starts monitoring. Follow the steps below to configure a channel from scratch.
Step 1 — Open the Channel Settings
Click the settings icon on any unconfigured channel slot to open its configuration panel.
Step 2 — Scan for Stations
In the settings window, enter a name for the channel slot, then click Scan to run an automatic RF scan. The device will sweep the FM band and populate a list of receivable stations.
Select the desired station from the results and click Submit to tune the receiver to that frequency.
Tip
You can also type a frequency directly if you already know it and do not need a full scan. Manual entry is faster when configuring a large number of channels.
Step 3 — Enable Monitoring
After saving the channel settings, click Enable on the channel tile to activate monitoring for that slot.
Step 4 — Verify the Channel
Once enabled, the channel tile will update with live measurements. A correctly configured and active channel displays RF level, SNR, audio meters, and RDS text if the station broadcasts it.
Channel Settings Reference
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Name | A label for this monitoring slot — typically the station name or callsign |
| Frequency | FM frequency in MHz, set via scan or entered manually |
| De-emphasis | Pre-emphasis time constant: 50 µs (Europe, Asia) or 75 µs (Americas) |
| Enabled | Whether this slot is actively monitoring |
De-emphasis
The de-emphasis setting affects audio output levels and measurements. Set it to match the broadcasting standard used in your region. In Europe and most of Asia, use 50 µs. In the Americas, use 75 µs.
Reconfiguring a Channel
To change the frequency or settings of an active channel, click the settings icon on its tile. The channel will briefly pause monitoring while the new settings are applied, then resume automatically.
