The new MultiProbe 7.4

19 Sep 2022

The first hybrid system for integrated monitoring of broadcasting and distribution of media signals.

We are pleased to announce the new release of the first hybrid system for monitoring media sygnals. The system comprises all the benefits of the distributed system on the WEB interface and the local multiviewer with low latency vizualization to the stream videowall.

Thanks to the built-in mosaic functionality for videowalls, it is now possible to combine a wide range of tools for organizing media centers with the use of mosaics and videowalls, as well as control remote sources with the possibility of viewing signals from any point through WEB interface. The direct output to the displays allows demonstrating the received streams of uncompressed signals with maximum latency up to 3 frames.

Along with classic UHD/3G/HD/SD-SDI formats, MultiProbe 7.4 supports up-to-date uncompressed signals over IP SMPTE 2022-6 and SMPTE 2110.

Apart from supporting new types of uncompressed video signals, the functionality of measuring the existing types of incoming streams has also been extended.

All the additions to the MultiProbe 7.4:

1) Possibility of receiving and monitoring of SMPTE 2022-6 streams (ST2022).

  • QoE monitoring
  • QoS monitoring (RTP packet loss and jitter)
  • Visualization on the video wall and coding into interface

2) Possibility of receiving and monitoring of SMPTE 2110 streams. Support of adding ST2110 through:

  • SDP link
  • File of settings
  • Manual input of stream settings

The following monitoring of settings is arranged within a task:

  • QoE monitoring
  • QoS monitoring (RTP packet loss and jitter)
  • Visualization on the video wall and coding into interface

3) Extension of QoS monitoring for UDP/RTP- transport multicast;

addition of MDI evaluation, allowing to detect problems connected with transport level packet loss, achieved by controlling metrics such as IAT, MLR, DF.

4) Possibility of receiving and decoding closed captions in the CEA-708/708 formats. Visualization into interface and videowall available.

5) Possibility of full-fledged SCTE-35 monitoring.

The system includes widgets to display label content, mosaic splice indicator, and the possibility to arrange monitoring of any event. It is possible to create an alarm event both for label arrival and its absence in the indicated time period.

6) Possibility of full-fledged monitoring of MPEG DASH streams, specifically:

  • QoS metrics for the manifest
  • QoE video/audio streams
  • Output of streams to the videowall and viewing in the WEB interface

Most of our partners have successfully tried and integrated our monitoring system.
