MultiProbe 26.09: Connect your AI assistant to your monitoring

MultiProbe 26.09 adds an MCP server. You can connect any MCP-compatible AI chat app and query alarms, measurements and monitored objects in plain language, without opening the MultiProbe UI. The assistant can also help you set up alarm templates and presets.

For NOC and MCR teams, this means less time clicking between screens and faster first-pass incident triage.

MCP is an open standard, so you aren’t locked into a specific model or vendor. Use whichever MCP client your organization already runs. MCP is licensed separately.

How it works

Model Context Protocol (MCP) is an open standard for connecting AI assistants to external systems. Tracing an incident used to mean opening the alarm table, then the object, then the graph. Now it takes one question.

  • The MCP server runs alongside your AI client and reaches MultiProbe over your local network.
  • Each connection targets a single MultiProbe installation and authenticates as a regular MultiProbe user.
  • The assistant works with structured system data, not with what’s on screen.
  • Contact us for the list of supported clients.

What the assistant can access

The assistant sees current and historical alarms, the list of State Panels, and graph data for any measurement. It also knows the system inventory, meaning which objects, analyzers and measurements are being monitored.

It can view and edit alarm templates and presets. Instead of building a typical configuration by hand, you can describe it in words or ask the assistant to apply one preset to a group of channels. It can also add or remove objects on a State Panel, which is what an operator would otherwise do with a mouse on the video wall.

Security

Every action the assistant takes is logged in MultiProbe under the connected user’s account. Deleting alarm templates or presets requires explicit confirmation. Credentials are stored only in the connection settings, never in code or logs.

Want to try MCP on your installation? Contact us or our support team, and we’ll help you set it up.

HLS radio with AAC. OTT Probe now handles playlists with standalone .aac segments (HE-AAC/AAC+) and passes the stream to MSS. Recovery from transient network or CDN outages at the source is more robust. Audio-only NDI radio streams now display correctly with PPM metering.

Database status in the header. Active database alarms are visible on every page, color-coded by severity and updated in real time. Click the indicator to see database size, usage and the list of active alarms.
