In order to provide digital broadcast, Serbia is divided into 15 regions, surrounding high power transmitters. The division by regions is stipulated by technical constraints, the content is the same across the board. All transmitters that broadcast MUX-1, MUX-MUX-2 /3 operate using the same SFN frequencies.
The owner of DVB-T2 broadcasting infrastructure in Serbia is public company "ETV" (http://www.etv.rs).
Specialists of "ETV" conducted market research for existing approaches in monitoring of quality of DVB-T2 broadcast and have chosen Stream MultiScreen multichannel monitoring system. In a spring of 2015 equipment was delivered to all 15 regions of Serbia.
Each Stream MultiScreen server for monitoring of 15SD+5HD TV channels and 5 РВ channels in total receives signals via:
- Ethernet UDP H.264
- RF DVB-T2 with CI module (TT-budget CT2-4500 CI boards are used)
- RF FM Radio card (Sonifex PC-FM6 boards are used)
3 weeks ago, our specialists were invited to visit headquarters of “ETV" in Belgrade. During this visit, our hosts explained and demonstrated how DVT-T2 network is structured; how monitoring of TV and radio broadcast is carried out using our hardware and software. However, most importantly, we realized that customer is satisfied by the results and considers the possibility of facilitation of monitoring system at unmanned websites. Therefore, we continue our work!
