SFP Compatibility

SFP modules tested with SL Optic and modules expected to be compatible based on their specifications.

Note on Single-Channel vs Dual-Channel Modules

Each SFP slot in SL Optic has two independent optical ports (LC). A dual-channel module uses both ports to carry two SDI channels per slot — this is the recommended configuration and gives you the full 4 channels across 2 slots.

Single-channel modules (one TX or one RX per module) use only one port per slot, reducing capacity to 1 SDI channel per slot — 2 channels total. These can work if that is sufficient for your deployment, but dual-channel modules are preferred for full utilisation.

These modules meet the technical requirements for SL Optic based on their published specifications. Compatibility has not been independently verified. Always confirm the module is an SDI video SFP (not a standard network SFP) before ordering, and check whether the module is single-channel or dual-channel.
